Football Legends Pump Fake, Hitstick, Truck
The three OVR-gated abilities, ranked by how much they change Park and 7v7.
Football Legends only asks you to care about three named abilities. They unlock on overall rating: Pump Fake at 30, Hitstick at 50, Truck at 70. Everything else is a skin, a trail, or a button that was already on the HUD. This page ranks those three for public Park and 7v7 and tells you who should rush which gate.
The ladder write-up is OVR progression. Role context is on the tier list hub and the builds page.
S — Pump Fake (30 OVR)
Pump Fake is the best ability in the game per point of OVR because it arrives first and it saves the most common death: a rusher who jumped at a QB who had no answer. You fake the throw. The rusher leaves his feet. You still have a ball. You throw to the WR who kept running.
Who should chase it: anyone who hikes even sometimes. If you are a pure receiver, 30 still matters because your QB might be you next game.
When it is wasted: pumping into a covered route, pumping on fourth-and-long instead of throwing the checkdown, pumping so often that good rushers stop jumping.
How to practice: Park as QB with Throwing Preview on. Wait for the rusher to commit. Then throw. Read quarterback.
Pump Fake does not throw for you. A 30 OVR QB who cannot hit a moving WR is still a problem. The ability removes one excuse, not all of them.
A — Hitstick (50 OVR)
Hitstick is the defensive identity of Football Legends. Before 50 you can still dive, rush, and break up a throw. After 50 the collision starts to look like the clips that get titles. It is ranked under Pump Fake only because it arrives later and because a team with no QB still loses even if every rusher has Hitstick.
Who should chase it: rushers, anyone who likes defense, and 7v7 stacks that already have a QB–WR pair.
When it is wasted: leaving a WR wide to chase a Hitstick on a QB who already dumped the ball. The ability is a tackle, not a teleport.
How to practice: Park as the designated rusher for a few games. Arrive. Do not take the scenic route. After 50, pick your hits. Read controls for dive versus the Hitstick gate.
B — Truck (70 OVR)
Truck is real and it is slow. At 70 you start finishing runs that used to end in a sad animation. In 7v7 it is louder because designed runs exist. In Park it is a bonus on a WR who already caught the ball. It is ranked B for time-to-unlock, not because Truck is fake.
Who should chase it: ball carriers who already catch, stacks that want a closer, anyone who is bored of getting dived on the one-yard line.
When it is wasted: Trucking into three people on first down instead of stepping out for a chain. Truck is a finish, not a first read.
How to practice: catch, turn upfield, then Truck when contact is coming. If you never catch, you will never Truck. Go play receiver until 70 is a realistic card on the HUD.
What is not an ability
Autocatch is a setting, not an unlock. Throwing Preview is a setting. Jump, dive, catch, and block are base actions. Prestige titles are a stamp. Summer visors are a skin. Clan tags are a Season 5 social layer. Scripts that claim Infinite Truck are a ban. See scripts and Season 5.
If a YouTube thumbnail promises a secret fourth ability, it is selling a bundle or a different game. Stick to 30 / 50 / 70 until a patch note on the updates hub adds a fourth gate. We will add a row when that happens.
Suggested chase order
- Play to 30. Everyone. Getting started then Park.
- If you hike, live on Pump Fake for a week.
- If you rush, push 50 for Hitstick.
- If you carry, push 70 for Truck.
- If you do all three jobs, still do them in that order. 30 is the cheap one.
Codes and coins from working codes should fund a readable skin while you grind, not a cope purchase at 18 OVR. The tools checklist has 30 / 50 / 70 as boxes you can tick.
