Football Legends Controls

Settings toggles and the actions you will spam in Park — jump, dive, catch, block.

Controls and Settings

Football Legends does not play like a soccer arcade. You hike, throw, catch, dive, and block. The live bind list sits in Settings and on the mobile HUD. This page documents the actions the game cares about, the official toggles on the gear panel, and the controller mapping that creator tutorials actually say out loud. When a key is not confirmed in-game, it is labeled as a tutorial bind, not as a fake official chart.

Pair this with getting started if you have not queued yet, and with Park once the buttons make sense.

Settings that change the game

Open the gear in the top left. This is the same panel that holds Codes.

Autocatch. When on, you catch a catchable ball without a click. When off, you must click or tap to secure it. New players should leave it on. Receiver mains who want jump-and-dive control eventually turn it off. Autocatch will not save a ball you never got to. It will save the easy ones you would otherwise mistime while you learn camera.

Throwing Preview. For quarterbacks. A red mark shows where the ball is likely to land. Keep it on while you learn QB. Turning it off is a flex for people who already throw dots. It is not a rank requirement.

FPS and Ping meters. Off by default. Turn them on if a Park game feels delayed and you need to know whether it is you or the server. They do not change catch windows.

There is no confirmed custom rebind screen in public guides. If the HUD shows a button, trust the HUD over a wiki table.

Actions you will use every game

Regardless of device, the sport is the same.

Move. Walk into space. Receivers who stand still do not get the ball. Rushers who take a wide loop never arrive.

Sprint. Hold sprint while moving. Stamina is a thing in this family of games; do not dump it all before the catch point. WR tutorials talk about unshifting into a jump so you actually leave the ground.

Throw / hike / pass. Quarterbacks start the play and throw to a moving target. Power and lead matter. Throwing Preview is the training wheels. A late throw into a rusher is a sack, not a heroic risk.

Catch. The whole beginner skill. Autocatch covers the easy ones. Manual catch plus jump plus dive covers the rest.

Jump. High balls and 50/50s. Controller tutorials say A is jump.

Dive. Dying balls, low throws, and desperate breakups. Controller tutorials say X is dive.

Block. Receivers use it to jam a defender. Rushers and linemen use it to keep a QB clean. Controller tutorials say left trigger is block.

Catch button on controller. Tutorials say RT is catch. Combined with unshift, jump, and dive, that is the WR combo: catch input, stop the sprint, jump, dive if needed.

Slide / hitstick / truck. Slide is a disrupt tool. Hitstick and Truck are OVR-gated abilities (50 and 70), not starting buttons. Do not hunt a Hitstick key at 12 OVR. Read abilities.

Pump fake. Unlocks at 30 OVR. QB only, in practice. You fake the throw so a rusher leaves his feet. Details on OVR progression.

Keyboard and mouse

PC players move with WASD and look with the mouse. Throw and catch are click actions for many people; mobile and console players use face buttons and triggers instead. Because InfinityLegends does not publish a full PC chart, use the on-screen prompts in your first Park game and do not memorize a soccer-game WASD sheet. If a prompt says click to catch, click to catch.

A practical PC habit:

  1. Camera on the ball, not on your own shoes.
  2. Sprint into space, then release sprint before the jump.
  3. Click catch as the ball arrives if Autocatch is off.
  4. Jump for height, dive for length.
  5. After a catch, turn upfield. Do not celebrate in place.

Controller (Xbox layout from creator tutorials)

Receiver tutorials for this game repeat the same mapping:

ActionXbox
Move / cameraLeft stick / right stick
JumpA
DiveX
BlockLeft trigger
CatchRT

PlayStation players map A to Cross and X to Square in the usual way. The important part is not the letter; it is that jump and dive are the two face buttons you will mash on a 50/50, and catch lives on a trigger.

The same tutorials tell WRs to cut, create separation, then catch–unshift–jump–dive. That combo is the reason Autocatch exists for beginners: it removes the catch tap until your fingers already know jump and dive.

Mobile

On-screen buttons duplicate the same actions. The gear is easy to miss under a joystick; tap Settings between plays, not during a hike. Autocatch is even more useful on a phone because your thumb is already on the stick. Throwing Preview is almost required if you QB on a touch screen — the red mark is the only lead indicator you will get.

If the HUD is cramped, use landscape. If catch is eating your movement pad, lower UI clutter in Roblox settings, not in a random script menu.

Practice order

  1. Autocatch on, two Park games as receiver. Goal: never stand still.
  2. Same, Autocatch off, one game. Goal: click catch on balls you can see.
  3. One game as rusher. Goal: arrive at the QB without ignoring the dump-off.
  4. One game as QB with Throwing Preview. Goal: throw to motion, not to a nameplate.
  5. When 30 OVR hits, add Pump Fake on QB. When 50 hits, add Hitstick on defense.

Then go play Park for real. Controls that only work in an empty lobby do not count. The 7v7 guide assumes you already have jump and dive in muscle memory.

Getting started is the hour-one route. Receiver is the job that uses these buttons the most. Quarterback is the job that lives on Throwing Preview. Defense is Hitstick after 50 OVR. If a bind still feels wrong, look at the HUD in your next lobby before you trust a screenshot from a different football game.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Park, 7v7, codes, and OVR.

What does Autocatch do?

It catches a catchable ball without a click. Leave it on as a new player. Turn it off later if you want full control of jump and dive timing.

Should Throwing Preview stay on?

Yes while you learn quarterback. The red mark is the landing hint. Turning it off does not make you better; throwing to motion does.

What are the two most important controller buttons?

Creator tutorials for this game treat A as jump and X as dive. Catch is on RT. Block is left trigger.

Can I rebind keys?

Public guides do not show a full rebind menu. Use on-screen prompts and Settings toggles. Do not copy binds from soccer clones.
