Football Legends Quarterback

Hike, fake, throw to motion — the job that tilts a Park court when it is done wrong.

Quarterback Guide

Quarterback is the loudest job in Football Legends and the easiest way to waste a court. You hike. You hold the ball. You decide whether a receiver who did everything right gets a catchable throw. This page is for people who will actually hike, not for people who walk to the backfield and then panic.

If you are under 30 OVR, read getting started and play receiver first. Pump Fake is the real start of this position.

Settings before you hike

Turn Throwing Preview on. The red mark is the landing hint. Turning it off does not make you global. Hitting a moving WR does. Turn Autocatch on if you might scramble and catch a tip; it will not throw for you. Details on controls.

Claim codes so your WR is wearing something you can see. A default shirt in a pile of summer skins is how you throw to the rusher by accident.

The job on a play

  1. Wait for at least one receiver to move. A hike into a frozen pile is a sack.
  2. Feel the rusher. If they jump, Pump Fake (30 OVR). If they do not jump, throw earlier.
  3. Throw to motion. The red mark should sit where the WR will be, not where they were.
  4. Check down. First downs exist in Park. A living dump-off is better than a dead hero ball.
  5. If you scramble, slide or throw it away. Truck is a 70 OVR runner tool, not a QB personality.

Global QB clips look like dots into tiny windows. Those people already have chemistry. Your first fifty hikes should look like boring completions.

Pump Fake is not optional

At 30 OVR, Pump Fake becomes the reason you are allowed to keep hiking. Before 30, a committed rusher owns you. After 30, you can make him look silly once per play. Do not pump on every snap or good rushers will stop jumping. Do not pump into double coverage. Pump, then throw the open WR. See abilities and OVR.

If you do not have 30 yet and you still want to hike, keep the ball short and get the ball out. You are a caretaker, not a streamer.

Who you throw to

Throw to the person who is running a route, not the person with the highest OVR card. A 45 OVR WR with jump and dive beats a 99 who is standing still. The receiver guide is what you should send your friend. The builds page is the S-tier duo: you plus that friend.

If nobody is open, take the sack or the throwaway. Picks in Park end streaks. Picks in 7v7 end friendships.

Park versus 7v7

Park QB is pickup. You may hike every play if the court agrees. You may also hand the job off. 7v7 QB is a named job. If two people want it, you will lose to a team that already voted. In 7v7, keep a blocker. In Park, you often have no blocker — that is why Pump Fake is ranked S.

Leaderboards exist for Park QB. They are a long grind. They are not a reason to steal hikes from a better thrower in your lobby.

Practice plan

  1. Throwing Preview on. Ten Park completions to a moving WR. Not throws. Completions.
  2. After 30 OVR, ten Pump Fakes that actually get the rusher in the air.
  3. One game where you only throw short. First downs only.
  4. Then you may try a deep ball on purpose.

Controller players still need camera work. Keyboard players still need to lead the WR. Neither device will save a hike into three rushers. If defense is eating you, read defense so you know what they want, then dump it off faster.

Players hub to pick a different job. Receiver for your duo partner. Tier list for where QB sits when it is done right. Season 5 if you want a clan that will actually let you hike more than once.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Park, 7v7, codes, and OVR.

When should I start playing quarterback?

After 30 OVR so Pump Fake exists, and after you can already catch as a receiver. Hiking at 12 OVR is how Park courts tilt.

Should Throwing Preview be on?

Yes until you consistently hit moving WRs without it. The red mark is a landing hint, not a crutch you must drop.

What if two people want QB?

Rotate between games or leave. Two QBs on one hike is not a build. The builds page wants one hiker.

Does a global QB badge make me better?

It means you played a lot. Your next throw still has to hit a moving receiver.
